2.2. How do I initiate repair service under AppleCare+?

  • Carry-in service. Carry your product into an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
  • Customer drop-off. Contact Apple and you will be provided a Repair ID number to take with your iPad to any UPS store in the United States. The UPS store will ship your hardware to Apple for repair service. When service is completed, Apple will ship the serviced unit back to you. There is no additional shipping charge for warranty repairs or repairs covered by AppleCare+.
  • Direct mail-in service. Contact Apple and they will send you everything you need to mail your Apple product for repair. When the repair is completed, Apple will ship your product back to you. There is no additional charge to you for shipping.
  • Onsite service. Contact us and we’ll help you arrange an Apple-authorized repair for your desktop Mac at your location, at no additional charge.
  • Do-It-Yourself service. Contact Apple and we may be able to send you what you need to service your own product, such as accessories.
  • Express Replacement Service for Apple iPad. Contact Apple and they will send you a replacement device right away. After you receive your replacement device, send us your faulty device to complete the transaction.
